Rika Muranaka, Metal Gear Solid + Silent Hill Composer – 288

metal gear

Metal Gear Solid is one of the most iconic games of our time. The alarming sounds of “WHO’S THAT?!” or “WHAT WAS THAT NOISE?!” are all too familiar when we reminisce on our times spent with Solid Snake and company. But if we stopped there, at the game, its characters and its lore then we would be doing ourselves a great disservice.

The soundtrack for the Metal Gear series will take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride and you can thank Rika Muranaka for that. On an instrument since three, pro at seventeen, Muranaka worked on most of the Metal Gear titles (1-4), Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Silent Hill. Rika worked with Konami for 20 years and on this edition of The show she shares her journey, relationship with Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and her upcoming projects.
