  • Valve announced recently that the first in its line of gaming-centric PCs, Steam Machines, will be available via pre-order by October 16.
  • NPD: PlayStation is the top selling console in May, Witcher 3 is the top selling game, followed by Mortal Kombat and Grand Theft Auto V
  • Nintendo has announced that 3DS sales in the United States have reached 15 million

  • NBA 2K16’s career mode will be written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee.
  • Ratchet & Clank’s developer Insomniac announced it was working on a completely new franchise called Edge of Nowhere.
  • Sony has announced that the PlayStation Now game streaming service is going to be on their Samsung smart televisions, you may have access to a library of PlayStation 3 titles for rent right now…maybe
  • Forza 6: 450 cars, 26 “world-famous” tracks, it will run at 60FPS in 1080p, will include night racing, split-screen, 24 player races, and the return of Drivatars.
  • Batman Arkham Knight will take up a 45GB of space on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms
  • Mighty Number 9 will feature cross buy on PSN, will feature 3D on 3DS
  • Crackdown and Scalebound won’t be shown at E3 next week. Instead, they will show up next at gamescom
  • Uncharted 3 ‘The Nathan Drake’ collection will have Uncharted 4 Beta Access. The title will include all three titles, Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves, and Drake’s Deception and will run at 1080p and 60 frames per second, out October 9th
  • Street Fighter’s Ryu and Fire Emblem’s Roy were seen in the most recent update file for Super Smash Bros
  • Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has raised more than $4.8 million, making it the most funded game in the history of Kickstarter.
  • Super Meat Boy heading to Playstation this fall
  • Mega Man Legacy Collection is coming for 3DS, PC, PS4, and Xbox One
  • Dark Souls III confirmed for 2016
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider looks really really good

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 confirmed for PS3 and Xbox 360. Additionally, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is on the cover of ESPN Magazine representing Call of Duty: Black Ops III as part of the publication’s eSports issue.
  • Destiny’s next content drop, The Taken King, will release on September 15 and open up a third subclass and ability for each of the Guardian classes. It will be $40. New Strikes, PvP maps, and an all-new raid that introduces a new enemy class, the Taken led by Oryx.
  • Arc System Works announced this week that it has acquired the rights to Double Dragon, the Kunio-Kun series (River City Ransom), and Super Dodge Ball.
  • Xbox One partners up with Oculus Rift
  • Co-op campaign will require Xbox Live Gold to play for Halo5.
  • Black Tusk Studios, the team behind Gears of War rebranded and will now be called ‘The Coalition’
  • Xbox unveils 1TB console, reduces the 500 gig console to $349, introduces a new 3.5 mm wireless controller – Will Sony announce a 1TB Playstation Console? Sony even gives instructions on how to swap their HDD
  • Youtube Gaming coming Summer of 2015
  • E3 has traditionally has been an industry event which doesn’t officially allow consumers onto its game floors, this year the show is allowing 4,000 to 5,000 of some of gaming’s biggest fans into the Los Angeles Convention Center halls to wander as invited guests.
